I do believe everyone needs a friend.....I know that Alan was trying to be friends with Jerry and I can understand Denny does not want Alan alone with Jerry since what happen to Shirley with Jerry had the knife to her throat in last season's episode. But even Jerry needs a friend sometimes and that is what Alan was doing there and that don't mean that Jerry can replace Denny as best friends. That is my opinion.....everyone needs a friend.

Friendship on an outward feeling level for men is rare in the Americas. Friendship has to accept the other for who he is and what he is, a very hard thing to do in practice as illustrated in this scene. It is the bread of the soul for all of us. It is refreshing for me to see that men can act as friends without having to have an animal or some other being suffer or without having to beat somebody up together, or be involved in some violent action together in order to affirm that friendshipand have that important enough. It is refreshing that a scene such as this can be an important part of a show on tv. Yes, we as men need friends and it's good to see that we can just admit to it and have that be important.
