Tom Verica's film and television career dates back to an uncredited appearance Less Than Zero (1987), with James Spader. In 1991, he played 'Bill Castroverde' in a recurring role on LA Law. He also appeared in a 1992 episode of David E. Kelley's Picket Fences. Verica had recurring roles in several shows, including 13 episodes of Providence (1999), before breaking out in the series American Dreams (2002-2005), in which he played family patriarch 'Jack Pryor'. In 2005,Verica appeared on Celebrity Poker Challenge in a game which also feature Camryn Manheim from The Practice. Currently, Verica stars in ABC's The Nine and appears in the acclaimed Clint Eastwood-directed film Flags of our Fathers.

Besides acting, Verica also directed multiple episodes of American Dreams as well as Boston Legal episode 3x11 [Angel Of Death].
