Officer Carl Ralston was the uniformed officer who arrested Dennis Pryor in the racial profiling case in 2x23 [Race Ipsa]. He was cross-examined on the witness stand by Chelina Hall, who praised Officer Ralston as an "exemplary officer" with a "reputation for honesty", but he admitted that he was suspicious of Mr. Pryor's intentions mainly because he was a black man in an all-white neighborhood.

Ralston was also the police officer who stopped Jerry Espenson for travelling in the carpool lane with a life-sized doll in the passenger seat in 3x01 [Can't We All Get A Lung?]. When Officer Ralston attempted to impound the doll ("Patty"), Jerry became violent and was arrested.
