Case 1x04.2

Alan Shore at his meanest

Episode: 1x04 [Change Of Course]
Client: Lee Tyler
Case: The client was accused of shoplifting a $200 scarf.
CP&S Representation: Alan Shore
Opposing Counsel: Assistant District Attorney Harris
Presiding: Judge Dale Wallace
Outcome: The charges were dropped after Miles Tibbett, the only witness to the crime, withdrew his story.
Notes:
  • The client was the CEO of the firm's biggest client, and Paul Lewiston was worried that the firm could lose the client's business if she were removed as CEO.
  • Paul assigned Alan to the case because he knew that Alan would use whatever means possible to get the charges dropped.
  • Tibbett withdrew his story after Alan threatened to reveal sensitive information about his private life in court. Alan had gotten this information from Sally Heep, whom he had asked to befriend the witness.
  • Sally was disgusted by Alan's tactics and stopped dating him after this case.
