Case: Denny was served a complaint for causing emotional distress to Bethany Horowitz.

Presiding: Did not reach trial.
Result: Settled. Bethany agreed to drop the complaint if Denny would sit in on a settlement negotiation meeting for Bethany's lawsuit against an HMO.
Notes:

• Denny and Bethany had met for a blind date at a restaurant in episode 3x02 [New Kids On The Block]. During the date, Denny had called Bethany a "midget", a word considered to be a slur against people of short stature. In the same episode, Bethany served Denny with the complaint.
• After the deposition, Denny apologized to Bethany, who requested his presence at the settlement meeting with Attorney Adam Jovanka, after which Denny promised to provide Bethany with "the full resources of Crane, Poole and Schmidt".
