Dr. Gill is Christine Pauley's primary caregiver at the psychiatric hospital where she had been committed after attempting to run over Alan Shore with her car. In episode 1x02 [Still Crazy After All These Years], he argued against her release, saying that her condition ("Intermittent Explosive Disorder") was being kept under control via a careful regimen of medications.
