Played by Currie Graham
Frank Ginsberg is a politically-ambitious assistant district attorney who tends to try those cases for which the publicity is the greatest, not necessarily those which improve the safety of the public. He has faced off against the attorneys of Crane, Poole & Schmidt several times, but he has never been victorious in any of the trials depicted on the show.
A.D.A. Ginsberg first appeared in
2x10 [Legal Deficits] in the assault case against
Brad Chase, going up against
Shirley Schmidt and
Denny Crane. In
2x12 [Helping Hands], he faced
Alan Shore for the first time, this time trying
Jerry Espenson for charges of attempted murder. In
2x18 [Shock And Oww!], A.D.A. Ginsberg faced Denny Crane in the 'American homeowner' case against Russell Blayney. In
3x01 [Can't We All Get A Lung], A.D.A. Ginsberg tried to bring Espenson to trial again, along with
Joanna Miller, on charges of prostitution, but Alan succeeded in getting the charges dismissed.
In 3x04 [Fine Young Cannibal], Alan again defeated A.D.A. Ginsberg, in the
Cannibal Case.
