Stuart Pankin is a longtime comedic character actor who is known for playing buffoonish or bumbling characters. He appeared once before on a David E. Kelley show, in a1998 appearance on
Ally McBeal. Early in his career, Pankin appeared on Broadway several times in dramatic productions, including
The Crucible (1972). But from the beginning, his television appearances were comedic - his first televions role was as the farcically heavy eater 'Stuf' in the short-lived sitcom
The San Pedro Beach Bums (1977). From 1983-1990, he appeared on the pioneering HBO series
Not Necessarily The News, for which he won a CableACE award in 1987. Pankin's multitude of guest acting credits have typically been for single appearances on shows ranging from from
Barney Miller (1978) to
Malcolm in the Middle (2001). His recurring roles include a stint on
