**JAMES! Congrats on your 2007 EMMY Award for Outstanding Lead Actor, Drama!! JAMES SPADER FACTS
- JAMES SPADER was born 7 February, 1960, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
- He is the son of teachers Todd and Jean Spader, and attended Phillips Academy in Andover
- James dropped out in eleventh grade. He bused tables, shoveled manure, and taught yoga before landing his first roles as an actor. He graduated from TV movies to Brat Pack Films, playing mostly the bad guy.
- His performance in SEX, LIES & VIDEOTAPES (1989) won him the Best Actor Award at Cannes in 1989, which led to bigger and more varied roles.
- James married Victoria Kheel (she's the same age as him) in 1987.
- One biography of James' says hedivorced Victoria in 2004, but us fans never actually found out if he is definitely divorced.
- James & Victoria have two children, Sebastian and Elijah.
- James never watches any of his movies.
- James loves cooking. (He can come on over and cook for me!)
- Alas, he has a girfriend, Leslie Stefanson (born 10, May, 1971 -- 11 years younger than James). Leslie has an Ivy league degree, however decided to become a model and actor in the 90s.
- Unfortunately poor James has poor eyesight and cannot wear contact lenses.
James has played many sleazy, slimeball characters, but is quick to point out that in real life he is actually a nice, friendly guy.
- James and Eric Stoltz are good friends.
- James loves attending concerts -- Bob Dylan is amongst his favourites.
- JAMES SPADER is the first performer to win Emmys for portraying the same character (Alan Shore) in two different shows, THE PRACTICE and BOSTON LEGAL, without one of thewins being for "guest actor/actress", the secnod performer being William Shatner (Denny Crane) for the same two shows.
- James is extremely intelligent.
- Source: IMDB.com - Has a photographic memory. He can look at a script and he remembers what the pages look like. As he films a scene he "reads" the page. The only reason he screws up a line is if very similar words (e.g. it and is) are written fairly close together.

ok I'm just going to say somethings about James.
Firstly he is a great actor. I bet he is just as great as being a boyfriend or hubby, lol. I love his acting, though. His focus when he is acting is something I admire. He is HOT! or at least I think he is. I think he is very good in BL and The practice... If anyone has anything else to say or agree, go ahead. Just remember to Love James Spader |

I adore his character Alan Shore and I would have want him representing me because he does NOT discriminate disability. Don't ya just love James Spader for his wonderful role? I will be lining up at the dream portal waiting for him to let me in...I look forward to every Tuesday night to watch him. Of course I am in the JSMP everyday checking up on news and seeing friends there.

James is the actor so many Spaderettes love to worship! We adore James! We check in each day, sometimes many times a day, to the James Spader Meeting Place just to see if there is any new stuff about him.... We make friends at the JSMP, we share our thoughts & sometimes dreams about James! We all line up at the Dream Portal to hopefully catch a glimpse of him in our dreams....
Every week we await his appearance on the lastest episode of Boston Legal. We love our James!!! |
