kp]PlayedPlayed by David Dean Bottrell
After the hubbub surrounding the trial went away, Meyer sued Jeffrey Coho for slander, perhaps as an attempt to stay in the spotlight. He lost the case, and when Judge Gilbert Potts labelled him "a seriously disturbed man", Meyer hid in the parking lot and killed the judge by hitting him in the head with a shovel. However, he was not picked out by a witness in the police lineup and no murder charges were brought against him.
When he wasn't arrested in the death of Judge Potts, Meyer snapped. First, he assaulted television commentator Gracie Jane by posing as a hotel employee and attacking her, also with a shovel, although she survived the attack. Then, Meyer abducted Shirley Schmidt from her office at Crane, Poole & Schmidt. He took her to a room in the basement of his home and kept her tied up while serenading her with his ukelele. He also rigged up a crossbow to shoot anybody who entered the room. However, his plan failed when he was shot by his own contraption as police broke into the house. He survived and was last seen being taken away on a gurney.
