ABC television program created by David E. Kelley which was the source of some of the characters on Boston Legal. The show was on the air for eight seasons (1997-2004) and 167 episodes. The firm of Crane, Poole & Schmidt, and the characters of Alan Shore, Denny Crane, Tara Wilson, and Sally Heep were introduced in Season 8 of The Practice (sometimes referred to as TP8).
